carrier, has purchased 35 Comarco’s Seven.Five™ Duo’s
for GSM, GPRS and EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for Global Evolution)
to support its advanced network optimization activities for all

Seven.Five
Duo combines an integrated multi-band, multi-technology 3G RF scanning
receiver in addition to GSM/GPRS and EDGE calling modules with complete
voice, data and video Quality of Service (QoS) tests. These fully-integrated
features make Seven.Five Duo the only tool that can measure QoS
from the perspective of the wireless subscriber while providing
the root cause for any QoS problems. .
“We are
using Comarco’s Seven.Five Duo due to its superior feature
set and functionality, along with competitive pricing,” says
Jorge Bucio Walker, engineering director of Telcel. “We also
are very impressed with Comarco’s support personnel and facilities
in Mexico City. In addition, we like the ease with which the Duo
can be expanded and upgraded.”
“As one
of the fastest growing telecom markets in the World, Mexico is extremely
important for us, and we are delighted to have been selected by
its biggest wireless operator,” notes Greg Maton, senior vice
president of Comarco. “We have an outstanding sales, service
and technical support operation there, with very strong ties to
our engineering and manufacturing facilities in our corporate headquarters
in Irvine. This is the model for our aggressive expansion throughout
Central and South America.”
Telcel has also
purchased Comarco’s NQDI post-processing software. NQDI is
an SQL-based client/server application SE COMPRARON LICENCIAS STAND
ALONE that enables enterprise-wide data management of all conducted
measurements. The system provides a variety of features for data
administration, filtering, analysis, and generation of reports,
maps and statistics - as well as interfacing with third-party software.
The system provides the engineer with detailed analytical and diagnostic
capabilities needed to determine the root causes of any service
degradation as well as an overview on total network performance.
As delivered, NQDI can produce more than 250 standard maps, reports
and graphs.
