3G Billing Systems Contracts

26th February , 2004

Europe France : Formula Telecom Solutions, Ltd. (FTS), a developer and provider of convergent Billing and CRM solutions for the telecom industry, announced today that it has been awarded two new contracts in Asia and in Western Europe. FTS’ Postpaid Billing and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution is integrated within a unified Prepaid–Postpaid Billing solution being provided to mobile operators in these regions. Together, these two contracts represent an operation’s expansion for Formula Telecom Solutions as it moves forward with its solutions for 3G operators.

The new customers are benefiting from the convergent Prepaid and Postpaid Billing and CRM unified solution approach of “one customer, multiple payments methods” The system allows them to maximize revenue generation and reduce prepaid churn rates by treating anonymous prepaid customers as if they were postpaid customers with all of the specialized promotion benefits that postpaid subscribers receive. With the system, operators cut OPEX by centralizing prepaid and postpaid back-office systems rather than holding separate systems, while simultaneously improving customer care.

The convergent solution includes a mutual rating engine and CRM for the operators’ entire subscriber portfolios. CRM elements provide monitoring of both prepaid and postpaid subscribers behavior and adjust services to take advantage of changing customer needs. In addition, the platform enables the operators to offer flexible, customer-oriented services and tariffs such as tailored price plans, bonuses and loyalty schemes. The operator can also toggle subscribers between prepaid and postpaid services, for example, corporate clients seeking to keep costs down while providing employees with a single phone for business and personal use.

“FTS’ convergent platform endows our new clients with an important marketing edge in their current competitive markets. With FTS’ solutions, these operators can offer an entire new range of prepaid and postpaid possibilities to all of their customers who will now be able to control their own spending and become empowered,” commented Amos Sivan, FTS' CEO. “FTS is focused on providing top of line Billing and CRM solutions to mobile and wireline operators around the world and looks forward to making more announcements in the near future.”
