: Every year, millions of viewers tune in to the traditional Four
Hills Tournament on TV. Vodafone, the title sponsor, now has the solution
for all those who don't have the chance to be at home in front of
the TV for the jumps at the forthcoming 53rd tournament or who have
simply missed the highlights from the jumps: In cooperation with RTL
NEWMEDIA, the Düsseldorf-based mobile telecommunications company
is bringing highlights from the competitions to your mobile - with
Vodafone Mobile TV. All Vodafone customers who have a 3G mobile can
enjoy this new mobile television experience. There will be reports
from all the qualifying and main jumps at this year's 53rd Four Hills
Tournament.
It's hard to be
more up-to-date than this: simply turn on your mobile, select the
"RTLmobile Video" channel in the "MobileTV + Video"
category and there's no stopping your enjoyment of TV reports from
Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen. Only
a short time after the respective qualifying round or competition
has finished, sports fans will find MobileTV reports including commentary
in the RTL mobile programme specially produced for 3G mobiles, which
will be repeated once an hour around the clock.
What about taking
a ski-jump yourself? Vodafone can make this possible
Sports fans for whom the thrill of just watching isn't enough can
take off from the ski-jump themselves with the "RTL Ski-Jumping
2005" mobile phone game. In the animation, one or more players
take on the role of the sportsmen, navigate through the air at the
touch of a button and adjust their flight path and bearing to pick
up good scores. As with the idols Ahonen & Co., the points from
a total of eight different World Cup ski jumps are entered into the
ranking tables until an overall winner emerges. Sound and photo-realistic
graphics from the jumps, spectators and a snow-capped winter landscape
make "RTL Ski-Jumping 2005" a must for every fan. The game
can be downloaded onto your mobile either on the Internet at www.vodafone-games.de
or via your mobile on the Vodafone live! portal for a one-off charge
of EUR 3.99 (plus the usual GPRS/WAP connection charges for surfing
on the portal and for the download) and then played as often as you
like.
Additional
offerings relating to the Vodafone Four Hills Tournament 2004/2005
As well as the reports on Vodafone MobileTV, the most important news
and pictures from the winter sport locations are also available on
your mobile as video clips with the best jumps. The Vodafone MMS Infoservices
are an alternative for the forgetful. Messages are automatically sent
to your MMS mobile straight after the end of each jump. For each jumping
event, subscribers to the service receive up to three messages with
original pictures, results and overall World Cup standings.
