Microsoft Surface Mini Incoming with Xbox Kinect?
The Microsoft Surface Mini is in the news again, this time we are brought up to date via well respected Chinese website WP Dang.
Previously, the Surface Mini was rumoured to come with a 7 inch display but the website suggests that it will come with an 8 inch display with a 1080p display.
They also claim that the Mini will feature a number of sensors to introduce hand and face-tracking capabilities based on Kinect technology, similar to that found in the Xbox One’s Kinect sensor.
When used in the Surface Mini this would bring non-touch control like that found with "Gesture Control" on the Galaxy S4. Microsoft's Surface Mini is believed to be powered by an Intel Bay Trail CPU and will be coupled with Windows RT 8.1.
Microsoft has yet to officially confirm the existence of the Surface Mini, but when quizzed about its existence at a recent press event Microsoft's Panos Panay commented “We have a lot of great things that we are thinking about and working on, and there are multiple aspect ratios and sizes and awesome things to come from Surface,” he said. “That’s the best answer I have for you.”
The Microsoft Surface Mini is forecast for launch in the first half of 2014. As soon as 3G hear more we will be sure to post it.
