LG G2 Mini Could Be Announced in January
More and more manufacturers are releasing Mini versions of their flagship models. We’ve already seen Mini versions of similarly priced smartphones like the HTC One and Galaxy S4 and just last week we saw the Asus Padfone Mini surface via an official announcement.
Now it seems LG are joining the "Mini" brigade with the imminent arrival of the LG G2 Mini. LG’s flagship LG G2 (above) has a 5.2 inch display and has always seemed a prime candidate to evolve into a Mini version.
Greek website Techblog has leaked information online concerning the existence of the LG G2 Mini. They say that the G2 Mini will come with a 4.7 inch display which would admittedly be smaller than the G2, but not as small as the S4 Mini and HTC One 4.3 inch displays.
The source says the G2 Mini will come with a similar specification to the G2 including a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU and 2GB of Random Access memory (RAM). But little else is known.
The main focus of attention rests with the new display and its resolution. Namely, whether it will have a 1080p or 720p display , but seeing how it potentially has same size display as the 1080p HTC One, we suggest that the former is more likely.
The LG G2 Mini could be officially announced as early as January, possiblly at CES in Las Vegas which begins on January 7th, but we will have to wait and see.
