LG G2 Becomes More Appealing As Amazon Slash Prices
The LG G2 is one of the best smartphones released in 2013 and it often gets overlooked in favour of more fashionable smartphones. But it's got a great specification, an innovative design and has now benefited from a price drop.
With Amazon cutting the price of the LG G2 to just £359.99. That's cheaper than on any of the UK operators, with Three offering it cheapest for £399.99 on Pay As You Go. More importantly it puts LG's smartphone in the same price bracket as the, LG-made, Google Nexus 5. (£299).
Both are great mobiles that ranked highly in our list of the best Android smartphones. But the LG G2 has a larger display, better cameras and a more pleasing design. Google's smartphone does come pre-loaded with Android KitKat, but the LG G2 will be upgraded early next year.
Our review of the LG G2 concluded that "The LG G2 is a remarkable phone with very few missteps. Sure it would be nice if it had a micro SD card slot and a more premium body, but in all other ways it’s almost perfect".
We awarded the LG G2 4.5 stars (out of 5) compared to the 4 star rating we gave to the Nexus 5 when we reviewed it.
With such a small price difference between the two it's really difficult to choose between them, but the LG G2 is certainly the more interesting device with its unique rear-facing volume rocker.
- Buy the LG G2 on Amazon for just £359.99 (Due to high demand the smartphone is now on 1 week backorder)
