Samsung's Galaxy S3 (pictured above) has been the best selling smartphone in the UK for the last 6 months and it's retained it's lead over Apple's device for another month.
The figures were reported by uSwitch and are based on live-searches, pre-orders and pay monthly sales. It's particularly impressive that the Galaxy SIII has retained it's lead even after the launch of the iPhone 5.
One very interesting finding highlighted in the report is that the iPhone 4S has outsold the iPhone 5. That's mainly due to the reduction in price Apple's last-gen iPhone has seen since the launch of the original.
Samsung will be very pleased with the performance of their flagship smartphone, but they'll also be chuffed that the Galaxy S2 remains the 4th best selling smartphone in the UK. While, the Nexus 4 has entered the chart in fifth place and we'd expect it to rise in the charts in the coming months !
It'll be interesting to see whether Samsung can maintain the number one spot over the Christmas period which is normally when Apple dominate. 3G will keep you updated on all the latest smartphone news over the festive period, so keep posted !
