We first heard about a Nokia Tablet back at the end of 2011 which seems a very long time ago. Since then no such tablet has surfaced, but that probably isn't because of a lack of desire to do so on Nokia's behalf.
Microsoft , who make the Windows 8 platform, have been busy launching the Microsoft Surface and probably werne't keen on Nokia launching a rival tablet. Nokia and Microsoft have been working together closely on Nokia's Lumia smartphones so they probably came to some agreement.
Now it looks as though the Surface might have been on the market long enough for Microsoft to be happy for Nokia to launch their own Windows 8 tablet. At least that's the information being reported by Digitimes who are claiming that Nokia will unveil a new tablet at next years Mobile World Congress in February.
Nokia's tablet is expected to run on the Windows RT operating system which is the mobile version of Windows 8. That'll ensure that the device is more affordable than it would have been if it ran on the full versions of Windows 8.
The tablet is expected to have a 10 inch touch-screen and will be showcased at the end of February at MWC 2013 which is taking place in Barcelona. We predict it'll cost around £350 to undercut Apple's iPad, although this is pure speculation.
Sadly, we dont have anymore information about the tablet at the current time. However, as soon as 3G get more news about the Nokia Tablet you'll be the first to know.
