The Nexus 4 has been out of stock far longer than its been in stock since it launched in the UK. Now LG have confirmed what we already know , that they have a shortage of stock of Google's smartphone.
What's more interesting is that they told The Clove that the reason for the shortage is merely high demand for the smartphone. We understand that the smartphone is selling well but surely LG could have estimated demand significantly better than they have.
Right now the delivery times in the UK are between 4 and 6 weeks for both versions of the Nexus 4 and it's been out of stock already for a couple of weeks. In 3G's opinion that's a pretty bad situation and we're sure Google havn't been impressed with LG's performance.
One good thing about LG's comments on the Nexus 4 stock is that we now know it's not down to a shortage of 4G chips. Even though the Nexus 4 isn't a 4G smartphone previous rumours suggested that LG had included a 4G chip in the smartphone to make it future-proof.
We recently reviewed the LG Nexus 4 where we concluded that "The LG Nexus 4 offers an affordable way to enjoy the latest games and HD movies, as well as surf the web." You can read 3G's full review of the LG Nexus 4 by clicking here.
