EE's 4G network might now have launched in the UK but according to a report featured on the BBC's Daily Watchdog the service hasn't been running as smoothly as it should have.
A number of customers wrote in to the show leading to the BBC producing a report criticising EE's customer service. The customers reported problems in switching to EE's network with their phones not being switched over to the network correctly.
Aside from the problems with the customer service , EE's 4G coverage also came in for criticism with one customer reporting that his internet speeds slowed massively after the switch to EE. However, EE have since responded saying it was a short-term problem caused by the network being upgraded.
Infact, EE seemed to have legitimate excuses for all of the problems highlighted by the Daily Watchdog. We all know these programmes tend to be sensationalist in nature and we're sure that 99 per cent of people have had good experiences with EE.
3G's major problem with EE remains the low data allowance that comes included in their smartphone tariffs. As soon as they increase the data allowance, especially on the lower priced tariffs, we're sure a lot more customers will make the switch to the network.
We do think EE have done well to roll-out 4G LTE as quickly as they have and the coverage at such an early stage is pretty impressive. While the speeds achieved on the network are very fast and are a good sign of things to come !
