Sony Ericsson are expected to launch Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) for the Xperia Arc and Xperia Neo early next year.
The information is pretty concrete because Sony Ericsson have submitted the update for both mobiles to the PTCRB, which is a company that tests and certifies wireless devices.
This is quite a turnaround because Sony Ericsson always used to labour in comparison to its rival when it comes to updating their mobiles. However , it seems this time they could be the first to get Ice Cream Sandwich onto their mobiles.
One thing 3G is a little confused about is whether the update will be hitting the original version of the Arc and Neo (pictured above) smartphones, or the newer Arc S and Neo V. We wouldn't be surprised to see both versions getting the upgrade simultaneously.
We don't have any solid dates for the launch , but we could even see them made available in January, but February looks the most likely possibility.
