Google have launched AndroidLand, which is the world's first Android store in Melbourne Australia.

The amazing 154 square meter AndroidLand takes up the whole second floor at Telstra's flagship store. The store contains a number of interactive displays and , as you'd expect, is full of Green Android robots .

Visitors to Androidland can board the Android Spaceship , which features a giant screen running Google Maps so you can explore the world. You can also play Angry Birds on a massive interactive screen , as well as being able to create an Android Avatar,  which you can share or print-out.

One of the shops huge 24*9 metre windows has also been transformed into a massive screen which is used to display an augmented reality game. The game itself involves catching Android robots.

The store will also be manned by a number of Android experts who can advise you on every aspect of the operating system and Android smartphones. As you'd expect you can also try out a vast number of Android smartphones before you decide on the one that's for you !

The Android store will be at the Telstra store for 6 months, but if it proves successful it could become a permanent fixture.

3G wonders whether it would make sense for Google to collaborate with major manufacturers to launch Android stores across the world to offer an alternative to Apple's stores.
