Microsoft have now released Skydrive applications for both Windows Phone Mango devices , as well Apple's iOS devices.

Skydrive is a cloud-based storage solution that offers users 25GB of free space. The advantage of cloud-based storage includes saving space on your mobile, not losing data if your mobile gets lost or stolen and having a central place to update files across all your devices.

The new application enables users to browse all their Skydrive files on their mobile or tablet, upload pictures and videos, view recently opened documents and to create and delete folders.

In order to use Skydrive and to take advantage of the free storage you need to have either a Windows Live account or an Xbox Live account. However, those who don't can easily signup for one in a matter of minutes.
