Nokia have issued the first software update for the Nokia Lumia 800.
The first update to the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone seems a minor one, but is still welcome nonetheless.
The improvements brought have been listed by Nokia, but little detail is given regarding each point. However, we know that the improvements are as follows :
- Charging improvements
- Voicemail notification improvement
- Replying to mail improved for Microsoft Exchange 2003 users
- Improved display switching in bright light
- Improved audio quality
The charging improvements were documented previously and this update improves the power efficiency of the Lumia 800's battery. An update which is due to hit early next year will improve the battery further by increase its power from 1450mAH up from 1300mAH.
We don't have specific details about the other improvements, but increased audio quality seems like a nice bonus for Lumia 800 owners.
The update is rolling out across selected markets and is expected to be available in all markets in the next two weeks. In order to update your Lumia 800 you need to install Zune on your PC and connect your mobile using the USB cable that came with the phone.
A bigger and better update for the Nokia Lumia 800 is due early next year and once 3G hears anymore about it we'll let you know.
