The Nokia Lumia 710 is expected to launch in January. Online Digital have listed the launch date as January 6th at its online store, which isn't far away at all !

The Lumia 710 will be the second Windows Phone launched by Nokia and will be more affordable than the Lumia 800. However, it still has a great specification and should prove very popular.

Infact, it features the same 1.4 GHz processor as the Lumia 800 , but does compromise in other areas. The screen is the same size (3.7 inches) , but is a WVGA screen compared to the 800's AMOLED touch-screen.

On-board memory is halved but still remains at a respectable 8GB, while the camera is reduced from 8 to 5 mega-pixels. One advantage the Lumia 710 has over its big-brother is that it supports interchangeable back-covers !

We wonder whether Nokia is aiming to a younger market with the launch of the Nokia Lumia 710, which would explain the changeable covers.

Whatever market the smartphone is aimed at,  3G thinks it will offer excellent value and we predict that it could be more successful than the Lumia 800. Once we get confirmation of the Lumia 710's launch date and price we'll let you know.
