Nokia have made an official statement on their discussion forums which confirms the Nokia Lumia 800 is suffering from battery problems.
Not all of the mobiles are affected , but a number of them have a software problem that stops the Lumia 800 utilising its full battery capacity. The fact that it's a software problem is good news for Nokia because they won't have to recall all the mobiles.
Nokia is now planning to release an update early in 2012 which will correct the battery problem. Those who arn't happy to wait can demand a replacement phone by contacting Nokia Care.
However, before doing so you best check if your mobile is actually affected and thankfully Nokia posted instructions on how to do just that.
By Dialling ##634# you can enter the diagnostic menu where you can then select battery status. If your full charge capacity is lower than 1000 mAh then your mobile is affected.
3G will bring you news about the update when we hear any new information.
