The LG Spectrum has been hinted at online for a while now , but no real information was made available. That's all changed because images and a purported specification have appeared online.

The LG Spectrum is very much a high-end smartphone that will come with a fantastic 4.5 inch touch-screen. The LCD display will run at a resolution of 1280*720 pixels and will feature In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology.

Powering the Spectrum is a 1.5 Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor which is backed up by 1GB of RAM. On-board memory comes in at 4GB and is expandable using microSD cards.

An 8 mega-pixel camera is also present which will be capable of shooting 1080p HD video at a smooth 30fps. It'll also come with a HDMI port , so hooking it up to your TV is even easier.

The only bad-point concerning the LG Spectrum is that it runs on Android Gingerbread, but we're sure it'll be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich after launch.

So far the mobile has only been confirmed in the US , where it is expected to launch in February. 3G is hopeful the smartphone will hit our shores and will bring you news as soon as we get it.
