HTC have announced that both the HTC Incredible S (pictured above) and HTC Desire HD can now be upgraded to the latest version of Gingerbread.

The Android 2.3.5 update just contains a number of bug-fixes and corrects a couple of security flaws. The big news is that the update also brings HTC Sense 3.0 to the smartphones.

One of the main innovations brought by Sense 3.0 is the addition of a new lock-screen which enables you to launch your favourite applications directly. You can also show other bits of live-information on the home-screen including messages and the weather.

Sense 3.0 also adds HTC Watch which enables you to buy digital content, such as movies,  on your HTC Smartphone.

The Gingerbread 2.3.5 update has begun rolling out today, but you may have to wait a little while longer if your device is locked to a specific operator. As always , 3G recommends updating over WiFi, so you don't incur high data charges.
