Google have released a new version of its Gmail application for Apple iOS devices. The new version has a number of improvements over the previous one.

One new feature is the option to add custom signatures to your emails. You can use the one you've setup on your web-based Gmail account or create a unique signature just for your iOS device.

Another new addition is "Scribbles" which enables you to open a blank canvas and scribble a message or paint a picture. It works like a basic version of paint , so its very easy to use.

Another new feature to Gmail is the possibility to create "Nested Labels" in your inbox,  which makes it even easier to organise your emails. Google also changed the email notification sound on iOS 5 to make it easier to hear when you've got an email.

A number of bug fixes and user-interface improvements are also included which you expect from any application update.
