Facebook have released a new version of its Facebook App for Android smartphones. The new version brings the Android version closer to the experience you get on the iPhone.

The user-interface has been vastly improved through the addition of a new navigation bar at the top of the screen which enables you to easily navigate to your friend requests, notifications and messages.

Facebook have also added a new side-bar which gives you quick-access to the  News Feed, Groups, games, and apps. The picture viewing experience has also been improved and now supports pinch-to zoom, captions, tags, comments and iLike.

Apps and games also now work across different mobiles, so you can play against an Xperia Arc owner on your HTC Sensation !

Those with an Xperia Arc may want to delay updating because a number of people are reporting problems with the update.
