The Daily Mail has now launched a news application for Android devices.
The Daily Mail Online application is available free on all devices running on Android 2.1 and above. As you'd expect it enables you to keep up to date with the latest news, gossip, pictures and more !
The application features news home-screens for different topics such as sport, showbiz and femail. Additionally, you can choose a region to view news from with options including UK, US and World news.
One of the major strengths of the Daily Mail Online application is that it supports an offline mode, which enables you to view news when you don't have an internet connection.
When you first load the application, or turn it on after a prolonged absence, it will do a complete sync with the MailOnline , so you have all the latest news available. Don't worry too much though it won't download all the pictures, unless you tell it differently in the settings.
The Daily Mail recommends you to use WiFi the first time you use the application every day , just so you don't incur high data usage . However, those with unlimited data or high data-allowance shouldn't be too concerned , but 3G would suggest you still keep an eye on your data usage.
You can download the Daily Mail Online application from the Android Market by clicking here.
