The Asus EEE Pad Transformer Prime is now available to pre-order ahead of its launch in January.
You can pre-order the new tablet for £499, which might seem expensive but the Transformer Prime is the most powerful tablet around. Furthermore, its the successor to the award winning EEE Pad Transformer which won best product of the year at the Trusted Review awards.
The Asus Transformer Prime comes with a Tegra 3 quad-core processor which is 5 times faster than its Tegra 2 predecessor. It also has a 10.1 inch super-IPS display with Gorilla Glass and the tablet is thinner than the iPad 2.
Two cameras are also present with a rear-facing 8 mega-pixel camera and a front-facing 1.2 mega-pixel camera present on the Transformer Prime. On-board memory comes in at 32GB, although a 64GB version will also be available.
The only bad point about the Transformer Prime is that it'll launch running Android Honeycomb, but it will be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich shortly after launch !
You can pre-order the Asus Pad Transformer Prime from a number of retail stores including : PC World, Amazon and John Lewis. Once 3G gets news about any operators stocking the tablet we'll let you know.
