Spotify has announced an update for the Spotify for iPhone app which you can download for free in the Apple app store. The update offers improvements and some new features.

The start up time of Spotify has been made to load six times faster and retina display graphics are now included for the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G.  Also, Spotify will not start playing after you hangup a call if you have removed your headphones during the call.

Other improvements are : you can attach a message when sharing to your Spotify friends and improvements to how Spotify reloads your position after a restart. You no longer have to wait until you get online or tap to cancel before you can use Spotify.
