Google Nexus One owners will be pleased that they won't be left out in the cold with regard to the Android 2.3 ( Gingerbread ) update. Of course, the new Google Nexus S comes with Android 2.3 and goes on sale very soon in the UK.
In the coming weeks, Android 2.3 will be ready for Goggle Nexus One users to update. The news broke on the Google Nexus One Twitter account. The intro video for Android 2.3 can be viewed below.
The Android 2.3 update comes with a number of improvements and includes an updated User Interface, the Android soft keyboard has received a redesign, you can make voice calls over the internet to any SIP account and NFC has been included ( Near Fields Communications ) for mobile contactless payments and information collection over short distances.
