Over the next month or so, Google has said that it will be making an update to Android Market. If you are running Android 1.6 or above then this will be of interest to you.

The news was posted on the Android Developers Blog by Eric Chu, from the Android Developer Ecosystem. He commented "This new Market client introduces important features that improve merchandising of applications, streamline the browse-to-purchase experience, and make it easier for developers to distribute their applications".

The revamp to the Android Market client includes a new flip carousel for the home and sub pages, so you quickly flip within the categories and find the app your after. There are also new categories for Live wallpapers and widgets and there will be more categories too.

There is also a age group rating system with all content categorized accordingly. The refund policy has been changed for premium content as requested by users. Refunds can now be expected within 15 mins rather than 24 hours.
