Nokia Music has recently received an update which makes it easier to keep up to date with the bands and artists you love.
By adding an artist to your favourites not only will you have quick access to their songs but you’ll also get updates whenever they release any new material or have a gig in your area- ensuring that you’re the first to hear their new songs and can always get gig tickets before they sell out. These updates can be viewed from a bubble icon on the main screen of the Nokia Music app.
Better yet, Nokia Music is smart too, so it will automatically like certain bands and musicians based on your playing history and your music library, plus when you first install the update a variety of artists will likely be added to your favourites to get you started- though if there’s any you don’t like they can easily be removed.
If you pin Nokia Music to your home screen and enable live tile notifications then not only will you get a slideshow of album artwork to brighten up your home screen, but the live tile itself will also display an alert whenever there’s news from your favourite artists.
This is the next step in personalisation for Nokia Music following on from the previous update which actually added a ‘personalise’ screen. This allowed the app to create a custom music profile for you based on what’s in your library and then present you with a genre based stream of songs that fits that profile, making it easy to get the music you like and even discover new music.
The latest update to Nokia Music is available now from the Windows Phone Store and is compatible with all Nokia Lumia smartphones that run Windows Phone 8.
