HTC rolled out Android 4.2.2 for the HTC One last month and now they've confirmed that their flagship smartphone will get Android 4.3. That's the latest version of Android which was unveiled by Google at the end of last month and has already begun rolling out to Nexus devices.
HTC's president of global sales Jason Mackenzie has taken to Twitter to confirm that US owners of the HTC One can expect to get Android 4.3 by the end of September. Sadly, he didn't give any details on when the update will roll-out across Europe , but it shouldn't be more than a few weeks later than the US release.
As always those with a smartphone locked to a specific operator will have to wait that bit longer - surely, this ridiculous situation has to change soon. Anyway, rant over... back to Android 4.3 which is a relatively minor update compared to the previous version.
Currently , we're not sure exactly which Android 4.3 features will come to the HTC One. Potentially, it could get support for Bluetooth Smart, Restricted Profiles and improved gaming performance thanks to inclusion of OpenGL ES 3.0 support. You'll also get a whole host of speed improvements and bug fixes - mundane , but essential.
As soon as 3G get more news on the HTC One Android 4.3 update you'll be the first to know !
