Sky unveiled Sky Now TV last month when it was made available on select Android smartphones. The good news is that the service is now available on both the Apple iPhone and iPad.
Sky Now TV is a downloadable application which is an on-demand service that rivals the likes of Lovefilm and Netflix.
Sky Now TV enables subscribers to watch movies from all Sky's 11 movie channels and adds 5 new premieres every-week. Currently, the application only includes movies , but their are over 600 available, although in the future both sports and entertainment programmes will be added.
The advantage of Sky Now TV over Sky Go is you don't need a fully fledged Sky subscription which costs a minimum of around £45 a month to get access to movies. Whereas, a subscription to the service costs £15 a month with a 30 day free trial currently available.
With Sky Now TV users can also pay for individual movies with prices starting at 99p and going up to £3.49 for the latest flicks. This is a great option for those just looking for something to watch on a one-off train journey or flight.
Sky Now TV is currently available to download from iTunes on both the iPhone and iPad. The service is also available on select Android handsets including the Galaxy S2 , HTC Desire HD and many more.
