Nokia N9 Not Launching in the UK or the US

The Nokia N9 has been hyped for such a long time and was thought to be Nokia's big hope in the smartphone market. The N9 (pictured above) was going to mark the launch of its new MeeGo operating system, which was made in collaboration with Intel.
However, since then Nokia has changed its CEO and its whole outlook when they announced they'd be making Windows smartphones and MeeGo would be abandoned long-term.
Nokia have now announced that the Nokia N9 will not launch in either the UK or the US. The reasoning behind the decision is that they are concentrating on their Windows smartphones. Nokia don't want consumers to be confused by conflicting messages or distracted from the launch of its Windows smartphones by the Nokia N9.
The move makes sense but we are disappointed not to see the Nokia N9 launch in the UK, as we were quite looking forward to seeing how it performed. However, Nokia aren't messing about at the moment and seem to have a real determination back in the company and we are looking forward to seeing how their Windows phones turn out.
