iPhone Scans and Plays Music from Music Sheets

The latest app to hit the iPhone comes from a piano maker in Japan. The new app is called Gafuku Camera ( music-sheet camera ) and uses the iPhone's camera and audio to scan and replay music via the Gafuku software.
A video below ( in Japanese ) shows how it all works. The app is currently available in Japan only and in Japanese. You can see that its more than a simple scanner in that it does a lot more such as changing the tempo and tuning. Once the app has scanned the music sheet you can select and play individual notes or a number of notes bu use of your finger.
We are pretty sure that Kawai ( the piano maker in Japan ) will want to release this across the globe and 3G feel its just a question of when. The app costs about 350 Yen ( under £3-00p ) so would sell really well.
