The iPhone 5 rumour-mill has to be one of the most unreliable and confusing of all time, which is compliment to Apple's amazing secrecy.

In the last few weeks we've been hearing that the iPhone 5 is launching in September, but we've now heard that September is the date that it will be announced. A Japanese site has apparently heard information from a reliable source that the iPhone 5 will be unveiled on September 5th.

Further information has suggested that the iPhone 5 will be hitting stores in March 2012. This is quite far away but does seem more likely than a September launch. 

One thing that's been confusing the matter is that Apple are expected to unveil a lower specification iPhone , known as the iPhone Nano, to compete with mid-range Android smartphones. This could have led to confusion as people may be confusing it with the iPhone 5 launch. Therefore,the iPhone Nano could well be the device to launch in September/October.

We have very little information about the iPhone Nano or the iPhone 5, but once we hear anything more we'll let you know.
