Google Maps

Google has announced that Google Maps now comes with new features that will aid tourists and visitors to London. With 2012 growing ever closer its a good time for Google to improve its Maps application.

The new update means that public transport information is now available in Google Maps for the whole of London. Google are claiming that the application now has information on all the 18,000 bus stops and 250 underground stations.

This means that when you enter a destination you can view all the available buses and trains that will get to your location and the time-tables for them. This is really an excellent feature that will assist a vast number of visitors to London 2012.

Even more impressive is that if you download the Android version , Google maps will even tell you when you need to get off the bus which is a better way than asking the driver to shout to you because they can easily forget. The feature uses your mobiles built-in GPS to work out when you need to get off.

London is one of the first cities to support this new feature of Google Maps and we really hope to see more and more cities added to the list .
