Blackberry have now launched Blackberry Messenger 6 and it is claiming to revolution your social experience.

The main new feature is that BBM now works inside other applications so you can carry on chatting and interacting with your friends when inside a "BBM connected app". For example, while playing a game you can continue talking with your friends through Blackberry Messenger and you can even invite them to play the game with you.

A number of BBM connected applications are already available at launch including  a number of games, Foursquare and Wikitude.

Version 6 of Blackberry Messenger enables you to easily recommend an application to a friend by selecting them from your contact list when inside the application you want to recommend. Furthermore, you can post applications to your profile enabling everyone to see what applications you've been using.

We have to say this is definitely a great application for social networking and games and one that could sell a lot of Blackberry smartphones with the right press coverage. Apple will be watching the progress of the application carefully , as they are launching their own messenger application called iMessage with iOS 5.
