The beast that is the Blackberry Bold 9900 is now available to pre-order from the Vodafone website.

No exact launch date is listed on the site, but our information says that the device will launch on August 18th. The prices are listed though and you can pickup the Bold 9900 free on a contract costing £41 a month. The £41 a month deal  gets you 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile data.

However, this doesn't compare very well with Three's Blackberry Bold deals with the smartphone available free on the One Plan for £40 a month. The One Plan gives you 2000 minutes, 5000 texts, 2000 3-to-3 minutes and unlimited mobile data.

The Blackberry Bold 9900 is Blackberry's new flagship smartphone and runs on the new Blackberry OS 7. It's specification includes a 2.8 inch touch-screen, full QWERTY keyboard, 1.2 GHz processor, 768MB of RAM and a 5 mega-pixel camera.
