Alcatel will be releasing a new budget mobile on T-Mobile. Amazingly, the Alcatel One Touch 355 will be priced at £19.99 so it would make a good backup mobile or a mobile for your gran or young child.

The specification is as you'd expect, primitive, but it does have a QWERTY keyboard and built-in social networking applications. However, browsing can only be done over GPRS as the mobile doesn't support either WiFi or 3G.

Other features include a VGA Camera, 2MB of onboard memory and a microSD slot (4GB max). It also has an MP3 player and an FM radio.

Although the mobile might seem like something from 10 years ago or more, we still think these mobiles have a place in the world and are grateful its being released.

The Alcatel One Touch 355 is yet to appear on the T-Mobile site but once it appears we'll be sure to let you know.
