Vringo Voice Application Now Free On Android Mobiles
![]() |
Vlingo has responded to the release of the new Google Actions application by announcing that its own voice command application will be available free. The application used to cost $9.99, but is now download-able free from the Android market.
The applications are very similar as both enable you to undertake actions on your mobile by using your voice alone. Both applications enable you to undertake tasks such as sending a text message by using voice commands.
Vlingo are claiming their version has a few extra features that aren't included in the Google version, such as the ability to read your incoming texts and emails , as well as being available on multiple platforms. One major advantage they do have is that Google actions only runs on mobiles with Android 2.2 , which is currently very few, while Flingo runs on older 2.0 and 2.1 Android smartphones.
It'll be interesting to see how this develops. but we can only see Google winning this particular fight.
