An interesting article by the French newspaper Les Echos coupled with a Google translation has revealed that Orange is planning to launch a Tablet device.
The word is that Orange will release its own Orange branded Android Tablet which will be 3G enabled. The leaked details suggest that the Orange Tablet can be picked up for around £200 on Pay As You Go. A 3G enabled iPad costs over £500.
The Orange Tablet will be made somewhere in ASIA and it is rumoured that Orange could even have more than one own branded Tablet in the shops before Xmas. In terms of specification, the translated Les Echos article says that the Orange Tablet would have 3G wireless connectivity and have Google Android as its operating system.
We seem to recall that Orange previously released a WiFi enabled Tablet with a 7 inch touchscreen called the Tabbee ( pictured above ) in April last year but that it was not a great success. However, the latest rumoured Orange Tablet kitted out with 3G and Android with the price quoted will likely be a roaring success.
