News has recently broken that the iPhone will be getting Google Goggles later this year. Google's David Petrou said at a recent conference "We're working on an iPhone version and hope to have it out by the end of the year".

There will be a new iPhone App called "Google Goggles for the iPhone " which will likely bring visual search functions to the iPhone .

Google Android smartphones users have had Google Goggles for some months but Google stated that getting it up and running for the iPhone is not straightforward and needs additional development time.
