First Meego Phone To Launch This Year ?
Nokia Meego is a new operating system that will become the primary operating system used by premium Nokia handsets.
Nokia Meego is a linux-based operating system that has been produced in a collaboration between Nokia and Intel.
Nokia confirmed earlier this year that it would take over from Symbian^3, which is the operating system which runs on the power-packed Nokia N8.
In an interview with Nokia Conversations this week Niklas Savander, Nokia's head of Sales and Marketing, announced that their would be a major development with regard to Meego before the end of the year.
His implication was that a mobile would launch this year running the Meego platform, which is an exciting prospect. No further details are known, but we're sure plenty of speculation will surface very soon.
