DropBox Available On BlackBerry SmartPhones
![]() |
A new backup service known as "Dropbox" is available to Blackberry users.
Dropbox enables you to store files in a cloud-based backup service which also doubles as sharing method. The service is currently in beta, with a very limited number of users giving the service the once-over.
The aim of the service is to reduce the amount of daya you store on your mobile by storing files in the Dropbox which can then be accessed on your PC. So if you've got photos on your Blackberry that are taking up a lot of space you can upload them to your cloud to clear up space.
Space reduction isn't the only plus because you've not got your files backed up which means even if you lose your mobile you won't lose your files. It also provides an easy method to share your files onto your PC without the need for a USB cable or Bluetooth.
By visiting http//www.dropbox.com/blackberrybeta and creating an account you can signup for the beta, but be quick because the spots are filling fast.
