![]() |
New research has been undertaken by Ovum which shows that mobile broadband will dominate over fixed broadband in 2015. In 2015 there will be over 3 billion mobile broadband users and approx 780 million fixed broadband users. This means that there will be over 3 times more mobile broadband users than fixed broadband users.
Fixed broadband will still grow at an annual incease of 7% per annum and by 2015 over 60% of European households will have a fixed broadband account. The good news for fixed mobile users is that over 25% of the fixed mobile connections will be via optical fiber by 2015.
