Europe : The Sony Ericsson W995 has won the award for “Best European Music Phone” at the EISA Awards for 2009-2010.
The awards were chosen by the editors of the most popular mobile magazines in Europe and were judged on technology, design, features, value for money and ergonomics.
The judges’ comments on the Sony Ericsson W995 were that “The Sony Ericsson targets the multimedia enthusiasts by making it easy to access and playback audio and video media.”
3G.co.uk said in its review of the Sony Ericsson W995 that “As a Walkman phone, the W995 is a step towards making Sony Ericsson handsets as easy to use as an iPhone and iTunes.”
The W995 features a 2.6 inch display, an 8.1 mega pixel camera with image stabilizing technology and DLNA technology to share your files.
On the music side the phones music player has Walkman v4.0 technology with shake control, a headphone jack and the Media Go application to organize your music. Additionally, the phone comes with an 8GB memory card for stalling all your music.
Furthermore, the W995 has shortcuts to the PlayNow arena, where you can buy music and applications and download them directly to your phone.
