The Samsung Galaxy S5 is an amazing smartphone, but some find the size of its 5.1-inch display overwhelming while others wince at the £600 price-point. Good news... Samsung look set to release the Galaxy S5 Mini, a compact and more affordable version of their flagship smartphone.
A user profile has appeared on Samsung's own website for a smartphone with the model number SM-G750A, which is thought to be the Galaxy S5 Mini.
The smartphone is listed as having a 1280*720 pixel display, although the actual size of the display remains unknown. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has a 4.3-inch display and a display between 4 and 4.5-inches seems the most likely outcome for the Galaxy S5 Mini.
The leaked user agent also revealed that it's powered by an ARM11 processor running at 2.3 GHz (either a Snapdragon 800 or 801) and shows the smartphone running on Android Jelly Bean (4.3). Presumably, it's an early build and it'll go on to launch with Android KitKat.
French case manufacturer Noreve have also put up a product page for a Galaxy S5 Mini case. The case is apparently already in 'in the manufacturing process', which all but seals the imminent arrival of the compact version of Samsung's flagship smartphone.
Earlier this month we also reported on the potential launch of the rugged Samsung Galaxy S5 Active and the camera-orientated Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom. As soon as we get more news of any of Samsung's new smartphones you'll be the first to know.
