Samsung have confirmed that a small number of its Galaxy S5 smartphones are suffering from a camera fault and have assured customers they'll replace affected handsets for free.

A number of owners of Samsung's flagship smartphone have reported that their Galaxy S5 delivered a warning that the camera had 'failed' and after that it no longer worked. Some found that the problem still remained after they rebooted the smartphone.

The Korean company commented that “We have discovered that the issue has been seen in a very limited portion of early production Galaxy S5 units, and was caused by complications in the ROM (Read Only Memory) component which stores the information necessary to operate the camera.”

Those affected by the Galaxy S5 camera problem should contact their phone operator or Samsung directly to get a replacement handset. Are you suffering from problems with the Galaxy S5 camera? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
