Those looking for a new smartphone should definitely consider the Oppo Find 7a which offers high-end specs at a mid-range price-point. The mobile is now available to pre-order across Europe for just 399 Euros (or £330) and in the US where it's priced at $499.
The Oppo Find 7a is a slightly toned down version of the Oppo Find 7 which launched in Asia earlier this year. Namely, the 5.5-inch display no longer runs at a 2K resolution (1440 x 2560), but fear not it's still a full HD 1080p display offering a 401ppi.
The smartphone is still powered by the same Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.3 GHz processor, but the RAM has been toned down to 2GB. Onboard memory weighs in at 16GB, which can be expanded using microSD cards.
You also get a 13 mega-pixel camera capable of taking 50 mega-pixel snaps by combining 4 shots taken in quick succession. The rear-camera is also capable of shooting 4K videos, while the front-facing 5 mega-pixel snapper captures wide-angled video.
The smartphone runs on Oppo's Color operating system, which is based on Android Jelly Bean (4.3). It's fully approved by Google meaning you get access to all of Google's native applications and the Google Play store.
Those who pre-order the Oppo Find 7a, which is available in choice of White or Midnight Black, get a free 32GB microSD card, a spare battery and an Easy Cover case.
