Nokia Asha range gets a major software update
Nokia have rolled out the second major update to their Nokia Asha range of phones. The update brings a host of new features to the Nokia Asha 500, 501, 502, 503 and 300 (both single and dual-SIM versions).
One of the most significant additions is support for Nokia Mix Radio, offering free music streaming that is personalised to a users individual tastes. Owners of Asha devices can now take advantage of OneDrive, which is Microsoft's cloud-based storage solution and you get 7GB of free space.
The camera also gets improved with a new a voice-guided self-portrait mode, for capturing the perfect selfie. For the first time you can you now also take wide-angle Panoramic photos.
Nokia Fastlane now integrates more closely with Facebook and Twitter with support for birthdays, re-tweets and likes. While, new parental controls enable PINs or passwords to be entered to gain access to the Store or browser.
The Nokia Asha update is being pushed out across the world right now and will be available to download over-the-air.
