Three is exclusively offering the Acer Liquid E3, a mid-range handset with some compelling specs and a bargain price tag.
The Liquid E3 has a 4.7 inch 720 x 1280 IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 312 pixels per inch, so it provides big, crisp images. It also has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM for reasonably high end performance.
The camera is perhaps the real star though, with a 13 megapixel lens and a large aperture for good low light performance. It also has a 2 megapixel front facing camera and front-facing speakers powered by DTS Sound, for loud, immersive music.
The Acer Liquid E3 has just 4GB of built in storage but there’s also a microSD card slot and rounding out the specs there’s a handy rear button which can be customised to give you quick access to either the camera or a favourite app.
Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three, said: “The Liquid E3 takes everything we loved about last year’s E2 to the next level, offering our customers some premium features at a great price. It has the most powerful camera available within its price bracket and combined with our tariffs, this is a smartphone that’s easy to use yet doesn’t break the bank.”
Speaking of those prices, the Liquid E3 is available on pay as you go from Three for just £134.99 or on contracts starting from £18 per month with no upfront cost, which will give you 1GB of data, 300 minutes and unlimited texts.
The most expensive tariff that the E3 is available on is still only £30 per month and that gives you unlimited data, minutes and texts. So in other words the Acer Liquid E3 is great value for money. If there’s anything bad to say about it it’s that it doesn’t support 4G, so while you can get unlimited data you’ll be stuck with using 3G, but at those prices it’s hard to complain.
