Facebook Home Coming To Apple iOS Devices

By Simon Thomas on 16th April 2013

Facebook Home could be set to land on Apple iOS devices !

Facebook unveiled their new "Facebook Home" user-interface earlier this month alongside the HTC First. Now we've heard that the social network are in talks with Apple about bringing Facebook Home to iOS devices.

Facebook and Apple have worked together in the past to produce applications for Apple's iOS platform, but Facebook Home is a much bigger project than anything that's gone before. Facebook Home puts the world's most popular social network at the very heart of your smartphone.

The Android version, which is available to download on supported smartphones, effectively takes over control of your smartphones lock-screen and home-screen. While , also enabling  access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger from almost any screen !

Apple are very strict about the applications they approve and we have to wonder whether they would be happy to give a third-party control of their lock-screen and home-screen.

Our instincts tell us that iOS users will never get the fully fledged version of Facebook Home released for Android. Instead, we expect a number of the features to be "imported" into Apple's user-interface in a softer , more discrete manner.

No concrete information has been released about the iOS version of Facebook home so far. However, as soon as we hear more we'll let you know !
