iPhone Mini First Image and Fresh Details Surface

We've previously reported that Apple would be launching the iPhone Mini later this year, which will be announced alongside the iPhone 5S.  New details and the first picture of the affordable iPhone have now been leaked.

The first thing you'll notice from the image is the smaller display present on the new budget iPhone. It's expected to come in around 3.5 inches , which thankfully is still thought to be a Retina display.  This suggests that Apple have taken notice of criticism they attracted by including a non-Retina display in the  iPad Mini.

The leaked snap also reveals that the new model will have a plastic design , which will be significantly cheaper to produce than the iPhone 5's aluminum case . While, it looks set to debut an all new-design with curved corners and a flat-back giving it a similar appearance to the iPod Touch.

Details on the smartphones specification have previously been thin-on-the-ground. This latest rumour suggests that it'll feature the same A5 processor that's inside the iPad Mini , while it's also expected to have a 5 mega-pixel rear-facing camera.

The iPhone Mini is rumoured to come in a choice of either Black, White, Red, Blue or Yellow and is thought to be landing in October.  The price is still the big unknown, but we predict it'll cost around £300 when it lands in the UK , which would put it in direct competition with the Galaxy S3 Mini.

As soon as we get more news about the affordable iPhone 5 model you'll be the first to know.
