Archos Announce 3 New Budget Android Smartphones

Three new budget smartphones have been launched by French smartphone manufacturer Archos with a price range starting at £80. The three models in the range are the Archos 50 Platinum costing £180, the Archos 53 Platinum costing £200 and the Archos 35 Carbon costs £80.

The Archos 50 Platinum comes with Android Jelly Bean ( 4.1.2 ), a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 5 inch 960 x 540, 220 ppi touchscreen display screen, an 8 megapixel main camera, 1GB RAM and 4GB of on-board memory.

Next comes the Archos 53 Platinum which is different to the Archos 50 Platinum only by means of its larger 5.3 inch display screen and a power boost from its larger 2800mAh battery.

Making up the range is the Archos 35 Carbon which comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich ( 4.0.4 ) VGA cameras and 512MB RAM.

All models come with : pure unskinned Android OS, dual SIM flexibility to manage two providers simultaneously from one phone, an IPS Screen with amazing viewing angles, ARCHOS Media Centre Apps for music and videos and Cloud Based Contacts and Storage.

The pricing has been confirmed as above and they will be available to buy in May, but as yet we have not been advised who will be selling them. More as soon as 3G learn more.
